I create a learning environment where children feel safe, understood and supported. When anxiety reduces, confidence grows — and progress becomes possible.
I'm a passionate, empathetic tutor dedicated to supporting children in a calm, safe, and encouraging learning environment where they can truly thrive.
I specialise in working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those experiencing maths difficulties and dyscalculia. My approach is always child-centred and highly personalised. Every child learns differently, so I carefully tailor each session to suit their individual learning style, pace, interests, and needs.
My journey in this field is both professional and deeply personal. As a parent of a child with SEN, I understand first-hand the challenges families can face — and the incredible strengths these children bring. Alongside this lived experience, I have worked as an Individual Needs Assistant in a primary school, supporting children with a wide range of SEND needs. I bring patience, empathy, and unwavering commitment to every session.
I am a Level 5 qualified Dyscalculia and Maths Difficulties Practitioner, having trained with the Dyscalculia Association under leading experts Judy Hornigold and Steve Chinn. I also sit on the Parent Advisory Board for the Dyscalculia Network and have contributed to projects raising awareness and understanding of dyscalculia.
A Level 3 qualification provides a basic understanding of dyscalculia and how to support learners, while a Level 5 qualification is more advanced and prepares someone to assess difficulties and provide specialist, structured support.
I'm trained to understand the wide range of challenges some learners face, from learning difficulties to physical or emotional needs. I have the skills to adapt my teaching, provide the right support, and help every learner access education in a way that works best for them.
I can understand conditions like dyscalculia, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, and how they affect the way individuals learn. It can identify challenges and use tailored strategies to support learners in building confidence and making progress.
I recognise and respect differences between learners, ensuring everyone is treated fairly and included. It helps me adapt my approach so that all individuals feel valued and have equal access to learning opportunities .
I understand how emotional wellbeing affects a child’s ability to learn and engage. I can recognise when a child may be struggling and to support them in a safe, sensitive, and appropriate way alongside their learning..
I've been trained to understand how autistic individuals may experience the world and how this can affect their learning and communication. It helps me adapt my approach to create a supportive, structured environment where they can feel comfortable and succeed.

I love learning and regularly attend specialist dyscalculia training to ensure my knowledge and skills continue to grow. I have developed a strong understanding of adoption-related trauma, separation anxiety, general anxiety, executive functioning difficulties, and the EHCP process, among other areas.

What truly drives me is seeing children grow in confidence, develop a positive growth mindset, and begin to believe in themselves. My aim is not only to build academic skills, but to help each child recognise and develop their unique strengths and “superpowers".

I support both home-educated learners and children who need additional support alongside school. My goal is simple: to help every child feel confident, capable, and inspired.

If you’re looking for someone who genuinely understands, who will meet your child exactly where they are and help them flourish, I would be honoured to be part of their learning journey.
